The Loafers Glory Cabin is located four miles north of Bakersville, North Carolina.  A four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended to access it, especially in the winter.  No hunting is allowed.  

     Area points of interest include:     Hiking mountain trails 
                                                  Kayaking on the Toe River 
                                                           Trout fishing 
            Playing golf at Grassy Creek Golf & Country Club in Spruce Pine or Mt. Mitchell Golf Club in   Yancey County 
                                    Attending the annual Gem Festival in Spruce Pine
                          Visiting the numerous gem mines which are open year-round
                                  Visiting the world famous Penland School of Crafts.

      Rates are: $75 per night (three night minimum) $400 per week (six nights) Check-in time is 1:00p.m. (EST) and check-out time is 11:00a.m. (EST).
